Epilepsy SWO Event

Objective

Create an event poster and SWAG items for the NPO Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario's upcoming run/walk event.

Process

This project was rather difficult in terms of inspiration. Nothing seemed to be hitting right. So I took a step back and ended up finding inspiration from some random artwork online. Using that I came up with a dynamic and meaningful design that emphasized the NPO's focus on "togetherness" and the mobility of the event itself while adhering to brand colors.

Skyward Bound Poster

Objective

Create a concept movie poster and some SWAG items to advertise the upcoming "Skyward Bound" steampunk movie in an alternate universe.

Process

With no shortage of inspiration from movies, books and video games, I set to work to create a cityscape that focused on sky battles with WW2 style planes and zeppelins. The wordmark was created in Illustrator and enhanced in Photoshop. The artwork was all created using photos and Photoshop.

Black Trumpet Branding

Objective

Create a new logo for a local London restaurant as well as a unique food truck design for the business to enhance the world of street food.

Process

Pulling inspiration from the traditional old country, I designed a logo that reflected the name while creating a unique mark easily recognizable in comparision with other brand types. The truck design purpose was to stand out from everyone else while also following brand guidelines effortlessly.

Busch Nascar Banner

Objective

Create a dynamic banner for an upcoming Nascar event featuring a main racecar. Debadge main racecar and update the branding logos featured along the body.

Process

In order to create this banner, first it was necessary to remove all current logos from the vehicle before adding the new ones. To capture a dynamic feeling of speed and excitement I gathered a selection of photographs and mashed them together with layering techniques to create a seamless feel.

Black Cats Event Pass

Objective

Create an event pass for an event hosted by a group called the Black Cats. The artwork was to include a security feature to prevent forgery.

Process

The event was Halloween-themed therefore spooky colors were in order. All artwork was created in Illustrator with attention to colors and contrast to bring this piece to life. InDesign was used to format this design for print.

Schleich Infographic

Objective

Create a company infographic based around one of their best selling figurines. Model a 3D version of one of those figurines.

Process

In order to bring their eagle to life, I used 3D meshing in Illustrator to easily sculpt the tonal highlights, mids and darks that are present in the real life model. The background illustration, infographics and all text was done in Illustrator, thus keeping the project in one area for a simplified workflow.

Devils Due Brewery

Objective

Create an effective direct mailer that tracks awareness of current target audience and new customers through a strong digital and physical presence.

Process

The front of the brochure was designed in reference to a roller derby jam start with several CTAs to quickly engage the viewer and take them through the whole journey. Free day pass and beer tickets increase incentive to check out the event, while key information included inside the brochure gives a crash course to newcomers as well as add hype for weekend merchandise.

Butter Web Design

Objective

Create a responsive web page design for an up and coming bakery cafe.

Process

All of the assets were built in Photoshop before being uploaded to the Webflow Designer to finalize the live layout. The Butter logo was designed using Illustrator.

Anarchy Nachos Branding

Objective

Design a food takeout box that fits on a specific dieline with social media icons, address and recycling info statement.

Process

This was technically challenging to fit creativity into such a small box, so to speak. I decided simple was better to create an eye-catching design that would attract anyone's attention within 100 feet while simultaneously making them ravenous.

Artist Feature

Hey there! I'm Lucinda and I'm an illustrator/photoshop artist based out of London, ON. I am a third year graphic design student at Fanshawe and my work focuses mainly on web design, product illustrations and branding design.

I also enjoy creating concept art and I have had the opportunity to create several promotional videos. I enjoy the creative challenge that comes with being a designer, the process as well as the destination while working with visual solutions to vague word problems.
